I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1968. Although for many years I worked in activities related to teaching, studied history and anthropology, Art was always present in my life from childhood.

My academic learning is not far from Art, as I began to see the world through history and anthropology, its places and its people, and became conscious about what was happening around me, turned what I saw into drawings, handicraft or a picture….

But those real moments were not enough, and I wanted to create my own reality, the “virtual” through Photoshop. Thus many of my works are a mixture of reality and unreality.

I define myself mainly as autodidact in Art, and although I passed courses, my instruction was mainly the hours and hours with a pencil, hours and hours behind my camera and the many and many hours with my PC.

Only in 1993 began my Art to be more than a hobby and become professional.

Since 1998 I have my own studio: “RutySoft” Digital Art Photography.

At present I live in Israel, in the city of Beer-Sheva since 2001.

# The most important photography contest for me – and I still remember with great pleasure all I experienced – was the HUMANITY PHOTO AWARDS organized by the UNESCO and the CHINA FOLKLORE PHOTOGRAPHIC ASSOCIATION.

It was such a strong feeling, that I didn’t think twice; I flew to see it with my own eyes and my camera and thus, on the first week in November 2004, I was there, in China, in the city of Guanghzou.

Nací en Buenos Aires, Argentina en 1968. Si bien durante años me dediqué a otras actividades relacionadas con la docencia, estudié historia y antropología, el Arte estuvo muy presente en mi vida desde la infancia.

Mi formación académica no está tan alejada del Arte, ya que por medio de la historia y la antropología, comencé a observar el mundo, sus lugares y su gente con el detalle de ser conciente de lo que está ocurriendo, y llevar esos momentos a un dibujo, una artesanía o una foto...

Pero no me conformé con los instantes reales, y quise crear mis propios instantes, los "virtuales" con la ayuda de Photoshop. De allí que muchas de mis obras son la mezcla de la realidad y la irrealidad.

Me defino principalmente autodidacta en esto del Arte, si bien realicé cursos, para mí, mi formación la dieron las horas y horas con un lápiz y un papel, las horas y horas detrás de mi cámara de fotos, y las horas y horas frente a la PC.

No fue hasta 1993 que mi Arte dejó de ser mi pasatiempo, para transformarse en mi profesión.

Desde 1998 trabajo en mi propio estudio de Arte Digital Fotográfico "RutySoft".

Actualmente resido desde el 2001 en la ciudad de Beer Sheva, Israel.

#La participación en concursos que más ha significado para mí, y me llena de emoción al recordar todas esas vivencias, ha sido el HUMANITY PHOTO AWARDS organizado por la UNESCO y la CHINA FOLKLORE PHOTOGRAPHIC ASSOCIATION

Tan fuerte ha sido para mí este concurso, que no lo pensé un segundo y viajé a verlo con mis propios ojos y mi cámara, así fue que durante la primer semana de noviembre de 2004, estaba allí en la ciudad de Guanghzou, China.
